Start in Casablanca with a visit to Hassan II Mosque, then explore Rabat before heading to Fes. Enjoy a guided tour of Fes’s medina on Day 2. On Day 3, travel to Merzouga for a camel trek and desert camp overnight. Day 4 includes a camel ride and 4×4 excursion around Erg Chebbi. Schedule
- Pick-up from the airport.
- Visit Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in the Kingdom, offering a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean.
- Depart for Rabat to explore key sites including the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, Mohammad V Mausoleum, and Hassan Tower minaret.
- Travel to Fez and spend the night at a traditional riad.
- Breakfast at your riad.
- Explore Fez’s old Medina: visit Al Karaouine mosque and University, Chouara leather tanneries, and Najjarine fountain.
- Lunch at a local restaurant in the Medina.
- Return to your riad for dinner and overnight stay.
- Depart Fez for Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou to visit the cedar forest and observe wild macaque monkeys.
- Continue south through Timehdit, Zaida, Midelt, Errachidia, and Erfoud.
- Stop at the Ziz Valley for photos.
- Arrive in Merzouga, then camel trek to the desert camp. Enjoy dinner with traditional Berber music and spend the night in Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Breakfast, then explore the Erg Chebbi dunes and visit Nomad villages.
- Stop in Khamlia and Hassilabiad.
- Enjoy Berber pizza in Rissani.
- Visit Merzouga Oasis and spend the night at a local hotel.
- Drive to Todra Gorges and explore the valley.
- Continue to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay at a traditional riad.
- Early breakfast and drive through the High Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate.
- Visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and filming location for international movies.
- After lunch, continue to Marrakech.
- Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional riad in Marrakech.
- Explore Marrakech after breakfast.
- Visit Menara Gardens, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Garden, and traditional souks.
- Experience the vibrant Djemaa El Fna square with its music, dancing, and artisan products.
- Return to the riad for dinner and overnight stay.
